there are a few guidelines to submitting a request for an image on this board.
first of all, the image requested must be for a yuku forum. If you lie and try to get things made for a website that is not a yuku message board (or for your yuku profile), then you won't be allowed to make requests anymore. There would be waaay too many requests if everyone came in asking for things for websites outside of yuku. Also, if your image is for something for commercial purposes (in other words, if is an advertisement to sell something or your board is actually a company that makes money) I will not make you a banner. I have decided that it is too much work to choose only materials for non-commercial purposes, and if you are getting money off my hard work that is not far to me (or other people who make banners).
secondly, be polite! The last time I ran something like this was on ezdesign in the forum of a single request forum and some people were so rude and demanding in their requests that I literally wanted to reach through my monitor and give them a good smacking. Say please and thank you. If you aren't appreciative, pretend to be. If you don't plan on using the image because you think it is horrible, for the love of god don't say so. Let me (or whoever responded to the request) think that I did not just waste my time on something that won't ever be used. I reserve the right to say "no" to any request I want, for whatever reason I want. I'm (or anyone responding to a request) not getting paid to do this, it's just for fun!
also, please provide a link to where the banner/image will be used (if applicable - this applies to forum banners and things like that, you don't need to link to your profile if you want an avatar. This is so that I can get a feel for the color scheme and extract the exact hex codes from your layout. Please do not say "make it green!" and call that good, I want to make it match nicely. For avatars you can request general color schemes.
you don't need to link back to this board if you do not want to. It would be cool if you did, for other people's sake - so that they could get their own custom images, but not a requirement at this time. I will not brand any of the things I make with a watermark, but if someone wants to put a small letter in the corner of an image or something just to give themselves recognition don't be mad or remove it.
these rules and guidelines are subject to change at any time, so it is good to check the last "edit by" date before requesting something new... I'm a picky person but I am also human, so I will not scream at you if you don't get something right. Definitely don't be afraid to request help or images just because these rules sound a tad strict!
