I can help you with how to add a banner, but not with the creating one.

The easiest way to add a banner is to add it to the skin(s)

select the skin for the forum where you want the banner
go to the images button
The first field is where you add the url for the banner image
The next field is where you add a url for another site, if you want users to be taken to another site when they click on the banner. If you don't want to link to another site, leave the field blank.

If you have the banner image hosted on your yuku space you can click on the little picture icon at the end of the field and you'll have access to your images.

Some boards have taken advantage of the board Support account for hosting images. To do this the Support account must have admin powers. Then when you need to store an image to be used on the board, you would log into the Support account (you'll see the link in the upper right when on your board as well as having a link in your account settings area when you click on the Navigation button).

Upload the images to the Support account space and then whenever you want to use those images log into Support again and make the changes to the skin. The advantage to hosting the images with the Support account is that all the admins for the board have access to the images.
